Sometimes ATC get it right when asking crews to reject their takeoff: Incident: Air France A319 at Sofia on Oct 16th 2012, rejected takeoff from taxiway

I incorporate the 'ATC' angle into my RTO briefs for THIS very reason. You beat me to it!

Beyond idiotic the robotic airline culled dumbed down SOPS conditioning in here...

So if ATC told you that they saw a guy at the other end of the field with an RPG pointed right at you.....you would go?

What about the fuel truck, fire truck, aircraft, that is about to taxi across your runway but you haven't noticed....so you guys would go?

Seriously, I don't even know why I come here...it's like sometimes funny, but down right scary to think any of you actually have a pilot's license much less carry people for a living.
