public transport operations from unlicensed airfields

this has probably been asked before but here goes.
I understand that training flights and public transport flights taking off and landing at the same airfield are not allowed but that A-B flights are permited. Could anyone tell me if an unlicensed airfield legally has to have fire cover to allow any public transport flying to take place. I cannot seem to find the answer to this and hopefully someone can enlighten me.

In broad terms, an unlicensed aerodrome isn't legally required to have anything for aviation purposes - unlicensed means outside the normal aviation regulatory framework.

Don't come unstuck with your insurers if you plan a public transport flight to or from an unlicenced field, make sure they are aware of your operation, it doesn't mean that it is going to cost you more but they do need to know.
