Ryanair 737

Can anyone explain how Ryanair can get away with operating their new 73's no seat pocket? The 90 second emergency egress has to be surely compromised with the reality of mags, newspapers and sandwiches hitting the deck after a RTO or landing emergency. Try negotiating half of Sainsbury's and WH Smiths as half the exits are blocked and the number two engine starts burning?

Oh I get it, punters who won't/don't normally put there mags, crisp packets etc in the seat pocket will upon hearing the brace call, calmly fold the mag and put it away....all in the interest of keeping the exit clear.

Plus if you saw the mess that some of the punters leave the aircraft on a NORMAL landing, you would think as crew that you were negotiating the local council tip!

(And that is working for an airline with seat pockets!)
