Interesting Fuel Leak Incident
I have de-identified it. Thought some might find this interesting.
"X-XXXX, a Boeing 767-300 aircraft operated by X Airlines, was conducting flight 1944 from point A to Point B with 8 crew members and 219 passengers on board. While taxiing for the takeoff , the flight crew received a LH AFT FUEL PUMP EICAS warning message.
Simultaneously, an aircraft behind ROU1944 notified the flight crew that a significant amount of fuel was venting from the wing. The flight crew stopped on the taxiway, shut both engines down and actioned the QRH. The flight crew notified ATC and requested ARFF to the aircraft. Most of the spill was contained within the taxiway. The operator estimated that approximately 500 kgs of fuel vented from the wing."
