EK Denies highjack attempt
Khaleej Times contains Reuters report as follows:
"An Emirates airline official denied that one of its planes had been hijacked to Yemen on Monday and said engine trouble had forced the aircraft to make an emergency landing at Aden airport. The official of the Dubai-based airline said that all passengers and crew on the Dubai to Nairobi flight disembarked safely and were waiting at the airport for engineers to repair the plane. "This is standard procedure. Everyone is fine," said the official, who declined to be named. Earlier, Qatar's Jazeera network had reported that an Emirates plane had been hijacked to Aden. The Emirates official denied the report and officials in the Yemeni capital Sanaa said they were not aware of any hijackings." |
