AA Cuts 20% of its Capacity

"American plans to gradually resume more flying until it reaches about 80 percent of the capacity it flew prior to the hijacking tragedy and the implementation of new airport security measures. "Anticipated Schedule Reductions American said it will trim capacity across its entire network. In addition to its hubs in Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami and St. Louis, the following domestic markets will see a reduction in flight frequency: Atlanta Austin Boston Charlotte Colorado Springs Dallas Love Field Denver Detroit El Paso Fort Lauderdale Hartford Houston Hobby Houston Intercontinental Kansas City Los Angeles Minneapolis/St. Paul New York JFK New York LaGuardia Newark Newburgh, New York Oakland Ontario Philadelphia Phoenix Portland Raleigh/Durham Reno Rochester Sacramento San Diego San Francisco San Jose San Juan Seattle Tampa/St. Petersburg Tucson Tulsa Washington Dulles Washington National Wichita This includes the temporary suspension of all service from Dallas Love Field to Chicago and New York LaGuardia.
