Avro struck Jetway @ MEM
Yesterday a NW /Mesaba Avro jet (N528YJ) struck the jetway at gate C2 at Memphis airport.
check http://www.jacdec.de for further news or see pictures immediately after the incident at http://www.salzingerphotos.hpg.com.br/RJ85 Seems to be a write off or the machanics are trained in plastical surgery... must be http://www.salzingerphotos.hpg.com.br/RJ85/ |
Does look terminal (:D , sorry) doesn't it.
Maybe one of the "whitetails" at WFD is about to find a home. |
N528XJ was being taxied by an engineer and allegedly the brakes failed. The aircraft is now sat in a FED EX hanger at Memphis but has not been written off yet because its only three years old with only about 7000 hrs on the clock. It is repairable but it will need a new front end and possibly new wings.
The photos are interesting as these were taken by the MESABA ground crew at Memphis, and you wouldnt have thought they would want to publicise it. Oh and by the way the 'white tails' are at Filton not Woodford. |
