Air 2000 and BALPA

Whats going on at air2 bob? Rumour has it that they have suspended their CC chairman. Another dig at the union?

Hugh Jorgen 2nd Oct 2002 23:05

Please dont emulate

Hugh Jorgen here!!

hujeorgan 4th Oct 2002 11:32

Sorry Hugh, didn't know of you, my 'handle' is a long held nickname!! The lack of news from Air 2 bob hopefully means that there is no victimisation there.

upperecam 4th Oct 2002 13:38

Wanna bet?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

harpy 5th Oct 2002 23:59

It seems the CC chairman was stitched up in the sim.

tailscrape 6th Oct 2002 14:20

I flew with the Gent concerned a few weeks ago.....before I left the place.

He advised me that he felt he was being "looked at".......having received a warmand friendly letter from Training management.

What an outfit. Avoid it if you can is my opinion. Not that my word is worth much.

BoeingBoy 6th Oct 2002 17:18

I am told that the CC chairman is currently on sick leave and that there is a chance this may be long term.

Many of us at Manchester know that he has not had an easy summer health wise and I am told that this has finally resulted in him having to take some time off.

I hope that we may all join in wishing him a speedy recovery and a return to full health in the soonest possible time.

Regards,

BB.

tailscrape 6th Oct 2002 18:43

BB,

Hear Hear,

I enjoyed John's company and really looked forward to flying with him. He is a gent.

I hope that his health improves and that the Air2000 pilots appreciate that perhaps some of the illness issue is brought on by the extra duties he has carried out on all AMM pilot's behalf.....

It is a shame if he has "left" due to management pressure on him. I hope that is not the case as it will not help the company or pilot morale if it were to be the situation.

Good luck John.

McC 6th Oct 2002 20:27

Harpy,

Back that statement up.

harpy 6th Oct 2002 21:40

Sorry McC, can't name my source.

Jack The Lad 6th Oct 2002 22:11

Don't know JL, but he sounds an ok kinda guy; one of us.

Maybe Harpy's bothered that they might 'tear his heart out and feed it to the birds', if he names his sources. Does that sort of thing exist in aviation?

Yeah, I'm being stupid, course it does (silly boy, me)

Duhh!

t-bag 7th Oct 2002 09:33

Well said McC - Harpy, look at the history and facts before you start making accusatory remarks.

ajk 7th Oct 2002 13:33

Don't try to protect confidentiality on the company forums Harpy, it leaks like a sieve.

tilos 7th Oct 2002 14:52

Thought you'd been banned Alex?
Welcome back!

ajk 7th Oct 2002 15:35

No he's still banned Tilos, upset the head boy.

tilos 7th Oct 2002 16:03

naturam expelles furca tamen usque recurret!

ajk 8th Oct 2002 07:02

malus grammatica amica

hujeorgan 10th Oct 2002 20:55

What? I hope that BALPA are going to fight this one if not what are we paying for? Seems that they are losing out everywhere at the moment BA, Virgin, BMI and now air 2 bob.

ajk 11th Oct 2002 11:38

It's Air 2000 huje! What can the union do? Who knows, but their record is pretty dismal so far.

beamer 12th Oct 2002 15:42

Please read latest BALPA newsletter from A2K CC - form your
