Oh boy, not a good year for aviation in Europe.
Hope the crews/staff can get employment ASAP.

I think there are just too many airframes in Europe. Industry self inflicted wounds.

Too many cheap seats and too many costly government regulations = companies closing down.

Too many cheap seats? Yes. Govt regulations? Not sufficient of themselves to ground a carrier. We are seeing one of the regular cycles and it will get worse as the next Western Financial Recession starts tobite. When the USD trouble surfaces (as it soon will) then it will be even more uncomfortable.

It's another financial blow for HNA as well.
