Air India plane DEL-ARN gets stuck in building

Don't know much yet, but there is video on the 'Afonbladet' newspaper site:

Why the repetitive replay of the same clip? Should be a “flash photography” type of warning before viewing.

Looks like Air India 167, VT-ANE, a B-788 DEL-ARN.

A Google Translate excerpt of the Aftonbladet article linked above:

On Wednesday night, an airplane was driven into a building on Arlanda when it was scheduled for taxi 5. According to Stockholm Police, the accident occurred at 17.44.
On board there were 179 passengers taken by the crash aircraft via a mobile staircase, police said.
"We are still working and working in place," says Mats Almqvist at Stockholm police a few hours later.
"We are there and assisted.
He tells nobody to be injured in the accident.
Pictures from the site show how an Air India plane is evacuated and a witness says it's "full chaos".
- It's full of police cars, fire trucks, you name it, everything. I saw that: "The sh*t wing is stuck in the wall, it does not happen," says a witness.
"It's a very unpleasant atmosphere, people are upset and there is a lot of talk here.
Mats Almqvist states that it is about a building that is being demolished.
"Otherwise, I have no details," he says.

Here are the FR24 pings as AI167 taxis to the gate:

This airport has those funky F28L and F28R taxi lines for the same gate number. Did they start to follow the wrong line perhaps?

Also, the ramp looks slick as you would expect this time of year in ARN.

Some people on the airside at ARN suggests that the aircraft was taxied too fast. Poor braking action on the apron.

We had some interesting weather phenomenon here yesterday, with what looked like fog or fine snow but was apparently called "ice smoke" (in Swedish anyway), never heard of that term before, and we have also had interesting optical phenomenons with ice crystals in the air a few days ago.

Slippery surfaces is to be expected with the current weather.

The layout on that parking area doesn't look like the most conducive to avoiding static objects. I wonder how visible the painted bay numbers on the apron floor were given the layer of snow in those images.

It has been done before. A BAe146 wing planted into Sion terminal building a few years back.

I'm afraid aircraft get hit by stationary objects leaping out at them with monotonous regularity ...

"It's a very unpleasant atmosphere, people are upset and there is a lot of talk here..."

And this is different from a typical Air India flight how?

Air India's been having a rough couple of weeks.
