Finnair A333 damaged at ORD 9/25, still stuck 2 weeks later

I think it was a hi-loader (or other ground equip.) which have done some damage. I guess it's been parked in O'hare for a couple of weeks already, so must have been quite serious.

Original estimate, according to ASN, was "out of service for at least 10 days", so that was a tad optimistic. Incident appears to have happened when parked on M4 at ORD's T5.

"The loader kills Finnair's Airbus A330-300 (OH-LTS) at Chicago O'hare International Airport on Tuesday, September 25."

"Finnair reports that the wormhole is damaged from its backbone."

Gotta love Google Translate.

The repairs to Finnair's Airbus A330-300 (OH-LTS) crashed in Chicago in September will continue. As a result, Finnair has to cancel two flights to Bangkok. All in all due to aircraft failure, five long-haul flights have been canceled.

Indeed. It takes a while to recover from that type of damage.

Finnair will wet-lease an Airbus A330 from Air Italy to operate its Helsinki-Chicago O´Hare and Helsinki-Miami routes between Oct. 12 and 31. Finnair A330-300, registration OH-LTS, was damaged at O´Hare on Sept. 25 when a high loader accidentally hit it, according to Flight Radar 24.
Finnair said the wet-lease will allow for operation of its flights to Chicago and Miami while the damaged aircraft is being repaired. Finnair COO Jaakko Schildt said,

Wonder who ends up paying for all that? The total expenses must be staggering. Then there is the issue of passengers who expect to board a Finnair airplane and instead find its an Air Italy airplane.
