Oh, for goodness sake!

I think "an Australian amateur expert in air crash investigations" tells us all we need to know.

The question still remains how can a B777 just disappear mid-flight with no trace. The entire world has been searching for it for almost 3 years and still nothing. I find that very weird.

Yep, seems like we've been down this road with Amelia Earhart and a few other missing airplane mysteries. ;)

Fire theory

I have been relayed the most plausible theory this week that I have heard since the accident . There is a series of 777 a/c (which the MH370 is one of) which suffered from defect from the crew O2. Egyptair 777 suffered an incredibly rapid and intense fire on the ground which caused this damage:

Accident: Egyptair B772 at Cairo on Jul 29th 2011, cockpit fire

With this intensity and speed, any crew would have been overwhelmed in seconds - probably able to only carry out 1 or 2 actions ( HDG 90 deg to Airway) - certainly no O2 available (unless they have 2 bottles but I doubt as it is so dangerous).
Once the fire has progressed to create a hole as per the pictures, the 250 kts at least of airspeed would kill it. Then the aircraft would progress on the last heading selected on the AP until it ran out of fuel.

Obviously Boeing are not forthcoming with those a/c details......
