News channels now reporting that gunmen have attacked the hotel and taken 170 occupants hostage. Explosions and gunfire heard.
BBC says that the hotel is used by Air France staff.

This is now becoming a depressingly regular feature of 21st century life.

AlJazeera stating that Turkish Ambassador present with security forces as Turkish Airlines staff are currently staying t the hotel.

So far in the last week, these idiots have pissed off France, Russia and China. All nuclear powers who are not constrained by huggy fluff hand wringing and endless meetings.

This ain't going to end well.

AF just confirmed its 12 crew members present are safe now.
