QANTAS 737 tail strike at SYD from August
According to a report by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau the plane's tail had 'only just contacted the ground during take off', Fairfax reports.
Investigators from the ATSB reportedly found the tail strike was because of 'two data entry errors in calculating the take-off performance figures for the aircraft'. "This resulted in the take-off speeds and engine thrust setting calculated and used for the take-off being too low," "As a result, when the aircraft was rotated, it over pitched and contacted the runway," investigators said in the final report. https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/30111016...ydney-airport/ |
