Looks like yet another case of 'how I got sacked with social media'.
Captain naughty pops cork with good-time girl in flight KUWAIT CITY, July 26, (Agencies): Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) was the center of a scandal Sunday, as pornographic photos of a British porn star snapped inside the cockpit of the Kuwait national airliner during a flight from London to New York were published. Following the incident, KAC took a hasty decision to fire the pilot and referred him for investigation. ...Minister Al-Kandari gave instructions to summon the pilot from Bangkok where he is currently stationed after he was banned from the cockpit and stripped of his title as captain, the source added, indicating “the step taken so far strongly suggests that KAC will fire the pilot.” |
So much for professionalism.
Will he be able to get another job maybe at a small, regional airline after the sh**storm has passed or he's gone for good? |
I'm gobsmacked, I didn't know Britain had any porn stars..............:)

Arab Times: "Captain naughty pops cork with good-time girl in flight"
Nice headline, theat Arab newspaper is beating the Daily Fail at their own game. It's true that social media and the ubiquity of cameras contributed to some people's downfall. It's stupid enough to let someone who is not qualified touch flight controls on a paid passenger flight (how about inviting them to trip in a Cessna if they're really eager), and it's equally stupid to let them take pictures of it. Haven't people learned... |
Back in the early '80s when I had a summer gig working at a fishing lodge in northern Manitoba, and not enough flying hours to get a real job, I would routinely talk my way into the cockpit (often the the left seat) of Perimeter Metros and, occasionally Air Manitoba Daks. (YWG-YGO) There wasn't a functional cockpit door, the passengers couldn't have cared less, the FO got a charge out of being in charge, and had the opportunity to teach me whatever he was inclined to, and the Captain got a nap back in the cabin.

The real reason why all electronic devices should be switched off:)

Looks like it was this incident:
