Whatever happened to the nose gear/pushback truck/towbar etc. - Why did the taxiing/pushing crew not simply hit the brakes ?
Even with the bypass pin in and the A pumps off the brakes still work !! On a 737 that is, I guess the bus work similarly ?

The tow bar was attached after the event, earlier photos saw the GMA plane without.
Locals say excessive taxi speed was a factor, not sure if that is true.

yes the airbus works similiary but A-Pumps on the bus? Green hydraulic system for the normal brake and yellow system for the park/alternate brake.

SLF here, and so forgive what seems an obvious question if one does not have a clear vision of the plan view.

The wings must have been close, surely, what with their lengths and sweep-back?
