That's what you get when your main base is only CAT 1. RVR 200m all the way down as I landed at LHR last night. No wonder Stelio wants those slots at LGW.
|
MMMMMMM.... Last time I was at LTN, it was defenitely still CAT III...

LTN Wx:
RVR 08 150 RVR 26 200 Has been like this since 0500!! I think if you have a look around there is one of our cheeky fokkers somewhere amongst that lot !!!! |
Aerostar6. I think you need to check your facts sonny. Luton is CAT3b and has been for years while easyjet’s aircraft are only CAT 3a.
Stelios is paying the price for not buying airbuses. [ 05 January 2002: Message edited by: LTN man ] [ 05 January 2002: Message edited by: LTN man ]</p> |
are all landing aids at ltn fully operational today? only ask coz on a few occassions over the past few months the airfield has had maintanence/power failure probs that have for short periods downgraded the airport to cat1.

Who cares??

If you don't care, no one made you read the thread and definitely didn't ask you to post.

Sorry for offending, however it makes me laugh how a posting about 6 EJets on the ground at Stansted turns into a posting or debate about the technical aspects of the R/WAY @ LTN

LTN aids all servicable today but with RVRs at around 150m Easyjet (Cat3a) have been diverting.
|
Today, 06 01, I saw 4 737-800 Ryanair in LTN. Guess why ?
|
ACM - actually it was only three that turned up in a very short space of time at Luton! The fourth aircraft was the "based" 200 on the Dublin flights.
