Lufthansa TA is accepted
 

The tentative agreement for Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cargo, Condor and Condor Berlin, between Lufthansa and the pilots´union Vereinigung Cockpit has now been accepted by a majority of the union members eligible for voting.

85.9% of the members concerned approved the deal.
The new pay contract will run until April 2003.

in a nutshell:

- no champagne bottles popped...
- the duration is much too long
- the CEO takes it very personal, so he still hasn´t got the message
- % are "just bearable" to "OK" for most... wouldn´t have become any better after a "NO"
- they didn´t manage to split the pilots groups of the four companies and thus VC > VERY IMPORTANT!
- VC has very much work ahead negotiating pension, working rules and upgrade contracts
- VC has much work ahead analizing and learning from this

Don´t forget: LH only last year (after more than 20 years of working on it) finally accepted VC as a union, which has made us legally able to negotiate contracts without "help" from other non-pilots unions.

Now you people in BA and CX have to show what you can do...

Well, the majority accepted it and I guess there really wasn't much more we could have gotten ourselves than more trouble.
