apparently landed overweight with the according overweight ldg check list performed. the tables gave 2500 m landing distance at their weight and config. mxp has two very long runways (think it's 4000m).
what's best? a little overweight landing and some brake overheat or 30 minutes worth of flying with one engine shut down. captain's decision... |
Hardly a LARGE fan engine is it! Probably one of the most reliable engines around but not generally used on ETOPS ac like the 777 A330 767 etc |
