LCY Closed??

Heard LCY closed Monday evening any info??

Flaps5speed180 15th Oct 2007 23:50

Well, I don't know if it was or not, but a couple of diversions from there sitting on the ramp at STN this evening.

Green Cactus 16th Oct 2007 00:52

yep, it was closed for a short while due to a 146 blowing tires (at least two). To make matters even more interesting, according to city jetcenter it was the same ac as the night before......

Perhaps an anti-skid problem?

The airport remained open after its normal closing time to let everybody depart.

5milesbaby 21st Oct 2007 11:49

swiss_swiss 21st Oct 2007 11:56

5milesbaby 21st Oct 2007 14:35

No, that's the Swiss incident I know about too :ouch:

operationsair 21st Oct 2007 22:24

Didn't see any Swiss there, was passing by over the bridge, saw a very busy ramp with fire engines on the taxi way.

operationsair - You may want to consider removing that post before actual pilots start dismembering it... lol

operationsair:

Can I please have an invitation to your next lecture on correct landing and rotation techniques?

A lot of your wisdom has clearly passed me by in the last 50 years of flying aeroplanes.

The usual sub-standard 'debate' here, especially from operationsair... What a .

One aircraft, two little incidents, and none of the posts above are accurate in respect of which aircraft or what happened.

Honestly, even sitting in bed and scratching your nether regions would be better use of your time!

:ugh:

Well done, operationsair, nicely edited... so back to the topic, it wasn't the Atlantic Airways aircraft (wearing SAS colours), was it?

operationsair 22nd Oct 2007 11:00

To the above, Atlantic airways is oping the SAS CPH. Was on here somewhere..
