Bravo exit at LGW blocked yesterday
Coming into Gatwick yesterday around 1330Z, ATIS said that Bravo exit unuseable. It wasn't until we were taxiing in on J taxiway that it was apparent - an AIRTOURS 757 with lots of ground equipment and flashing lights around it, blocking the exit. Obviously it had been a quick evacuation for it to stay on Bravo exit - anyone know why ??
Just being curious !! http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif |

How many "Evacuations" have you seen without the slides deployed?!! Gonegrey, gonedaft, goneblind, goneclueless!! :) :) :) |
Thanks for NOT ANSWERING THE QUESTION VS !!
How do you know that it wasn't an evacuation - it may have happened hours before. I may have just seen the end of engineers clearing up the aircraft before being towed for maintenance. Who knows !! Either way, whether it was or wasn't an evacuation - does anyone know what happened ? |
Didnt look like an evacuation as Aircraft steps were positioned on D1L and no other doors open or slides deployed. As the FLS guys were out there with a wheel change kit I waould assume it was a punctured tyre(s)

Thanks FB - didn't see that ! Tah.

Landed at 9.35Z with a hydraulic problem. I presume the Nose wheel steering was inop.
