I have to admit after 20+ years in airline flying, I've made a mistake or two on the PA or center freq. However one of my colleagues was flying a commuter into ATL, the tower controller told him to make the next high-speed turn-off, he picked up the mike and said "We're not gonna make it".......unfortunately he picked up the PA mike by mistake !!

G-CPTN, we all make mistakes especially if you are tired, hungry, distracted or in the heat of battle, we all try to make our flights perfect, but after all we are all human.
