Thank heavens it was a hoax. There is of course no excuse for such alleged stupidity, especially from a crewmember. Over the last few years I must say I've seen the stress levels endured by flight crews' increase exponentially, though. One has to wonder where someone's mind is that they would attempt such a stunt and not consider the consequences. Psychological issues are surely difficult to identify/discuss when one flies with a new crew each time. dd (No doubt AA's just waiting for the first ambulance chasing lawsuit regarding emotional distress from the pax.) |
Just wondering what kind of prison sentence this attention seekingDumb Trolly Dolly might expect to receive if convicted for attempted Hijacking which she should be or will she allowed to pull off some plea of Temporary Insanity and get off with a Caution. In my opinion she should be made sell any and all of her assets to help pay for Diverion Landing charges, extra Fuel and the Inevitable Law Suits for Emotional Distress from Pax.

Dare I suggest said individual had a huge grudge against their employer / wanted some overtime ?
So that could be Cabin or Cockpit Crew. Like it doesn't happen in the real world? Because it's aviation and security supposedley matters more so in aviation, it gets picked up upon and reported by our good friends - The Press. Please do not think I am condoning this incident, I am not. Let's just think for a moment and get the matter into perspective. |
It happened at QR a few years agao when a fLight Attendant called in with a bomb threat because her sister was running late and looked like missing her flight.
The said FA received a slap on the wrist only! The flight was delayed on ground for 3-4 hours. I believe the FA is still with the company!? |
Flight Attendant Indicted in Bomb Threat
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Published: June 30, 2004 Filed at 11:49 p.m. ET NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A flight attendant was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday for allegedly placing a bomb threat on an airplane. Gay Wilson, 37, was charged with unlawful interference with a flight crew, communicating false information that endangered the safety of an aircraft in flight, and maliciously conveying false information. The threatening note was left on an American Airlines flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Boston on May 27, forcing the plane to be diverted to Nashville. Wilson was an off-duty flight attendant for American Airlines riding on the flight. ``I'm sorry,'' Wilson wrote in a confession, FBI agent Greg Franklin testified in a preliminary hearing last week. ``I take full responsibility for my problems. I've never been in trouble in all my life until now.'' Wilson initially said she found the note in the bathroom and showed it to another flight attendant on the plane. It read, ``There is a bomb on board this flight to Boston in cargo. Live Saddam.'' When agents questioned her later, she admitted writing the note, Franklin said, and said she had ``personal problems.'' Wilson has been held without bond since her arrest. The American Airlines plane made an emergency landing, escorted to the ground by two fighter jets. |
presumably their names were on the crew list 48 hours before?
