Question USA Grounded Traffic

According some aviation sites it happened yesterday for about 10 to 15 minutes all along US Western Coast...so far no official reason issued by FAA, NORAD, CIA...

On an online newspaper someone claiming to have some privileged info inside the Pentagon, said it was "a possible event on national security almost the same level as 911"...

Janet flight, did you bother to read either of the links you posted. Stoppage was because of the missed test carried out by North Korea

Besides the "english" being not my official language, wich i assume its not perfect at all, the NK missile it was only a rumour, but not assumed 100% at all...so being this a "rumours" field, i posted here.

"There has so far been no explanation given for this action. In this vacuum of information, some are connecting the highly peculiar event to another ballistic missile test launch out of North Korea"

To forestall further bickering
Washington (CNN Business)An unusual ground stop was issued to some pilots for a short period of time following a North American Aerospace Defense Command alert of a launch of a North Korean missile, a US official said Tuesday. The official says it was not a national ground stop and may have been issued by a regional air traffic control facility.
"No warning was issued by NORAD HQ," regarding a potential threat to the US, according to Captain Pamela Kunze, the chief NORAD spokesperson.
The Federal Aviation Administration, responsible for the nation's air traffic control system, said the ground stop was to err on the side of safety.
If one clicks on the CNN link, the above text shows up. The report appears to have been updated.
