AN-26 - lost contact in Russia

Contact lost with an AN26 in Kamchatka Region. Flight was from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the town of Palana. Some, but not all sources, reporting it has crashed in sea.

According to nrk.no (I can't post URL's it seems) parts of the plane has been found, and authorities already say there are no survivors

According to the report of a similar accident SEP 2012 there is a NDB approach for rwy 11.

Is this type of aircraft fitted with EGPWS ? Was it working ?

Does this operator have other EGPWS equipped aircraft ?

Does the national authority require EGPWS to be fitted ?

Did Russia not change its altimetry procedures late last year/early this year. If so, would this apparent CFIT be a potential result of QNH/QFE, Metres/ feet or HPa/mmHg confusion?

Thanks for the link Gearlever. One can see that these recent maps ( April 2021) heights are in meters , and QNH/QFE in mmHg , so made for Russian aircraft. . In one comments below someone refers to an interview of the controller which wanted the crew to perform an approach over land due weather /visibility , but it was refused by the crew.
I doubt they had EGPWS on an old AN26 ( ex military) , but I know most old Russians aircraft do have a basic GPWS, someone in Russia can perhaps confirm or infirm that in this case.

I believe this AN26 was equipped with an equivalent of basic GPWS - called SSOS in Russian, it does the same job but not a database based like EGPWS. Rumours are they were shooting an approach knowingly below the minima and ignoring gpws warning.
