Dash-8 is one of the few commercial aircraft where you can see the wheels from inside the cabin.

I was in a Dash-8 operating in Africa the other day with a great view of the wheels. On landing blue/grey smoke poured out of the wheels, I presume leaking hydraulic fluid heated by the brakes, and I could clearly see what looked like a locking collar rattling around loose on one of the hydraulic pipes.


Sometimes best not to see this stuff
