An Antonov An-74 carried out an emerg. landing at Mogadishu AP in Somalia on 9th Oct. The plane with registration EK-74008 was operating for Armenian cargo operator Mars Avia.
Are you sure?
I am not being argumentative. I would be genuinely interested to know from someone with more knowledge than myself which would be easier/cheaper to repair.

the way Russian aircraft are built that would not surprise me .
in t 1978 a CV990 from Spantax landed like this in Cologne. They put inflatable mattress under it , lowered the gear , did some repairs on the engines ( a couple had caught fire in the process ) but the aircraft soon flew back to Palma and continued to fly a few more years until the airline went bankrupt.

Apart from CV990 being American and not Russian, its engines appear underslung sufficiently low that it might be possible to get the inflatable mattress underneath the fuselage in the first place while the whole aircraft rests on the engines. That would not be quite as easy with the An.
