Fly-Be flight in quarantine at EGCC
Just breaking on local news a Fly-Be flight from Paris has been parked on a remote stand and is in quarantine isolation after a woman from Sierra Leone was taken ill in flight.

I can think of a number of symptoms that a passenger travelling from that part of the world might exhibit that would be cause for concern and likely require input required from Port Health. Some of the illnesses that I've had to deal with onboard on flights from West Africa to the UK include Malaria, Yellow Fever, Lassa Fever, as well as (deaths) from Cocaine smuggling (drug mules)... and of course there's even a possibility of Ebola.

"Flight BE3122 from Paris" [...] "She is believed to have been staying in a small village in Sierra Leone before boarding the flight."
Not easy to find info re. how she got to Paris? Would the PAX on that "other flight" also be contacted?

West Africa is indeed a shocking place for diseases, drugs, religious warfare, genocide, and criminality. I pity the poor people who have the misfortune to be born and have to live in those dreadful countries.I understand their wish to live in Europe.
Did this woman passenger from Sierra Leone exhibit specific signs of a contagious disease? And have her fellow passengers been quarantined? (I am sure she is being well-cared for, presumably in isolation at Wythenshawe Hospital.)
