Or the present EWG long haul fleet (A330/340) will be transferred to Condor!

I have travelled on Condor B 757 and A 320 a few times during the last six months. These were the first charter/low cost airline flights in some 40 years. The service, ground and in flight, was perfect, the 757s looked they had just been rolled out at Seattle. There was a bit of a " Lufti Spirit ", like it was in 1962, when I had my first flight on a Condor aircraft. I sincerely hope, for Condor, and their staff, that Lufthansa will be successful in their bid.

I agree BEA 71, the Condor long haul B767's are a very nice passenger experience to fly on, they were all recently refurbished, a top quality product for the long haul passenger, quality cabin service, 3 class cabin, just like a new plane.

Condor has a unique good quality product compared to the low cost Eurowings business model.

Without doubt, the Thomas Cook Group has suppressed Condor (and UK, Scandinavian airlines) in future new long haul fleet replacement (B787-9 or A330)

Historically, Thomas Cook management have been inept in making decisions for the future causing them to be where they are now.

Wishing all the group airlines employees a more secure future, whoever the new owners are.

Eurowings is in the mind of Germans too much connected with low cost and Germanwings .So rebranding Condor for long haul IT flights may work . But not with the old 75s and especially the 76s ..
EW uses a mixture of GE-powered A332s (from SunEx), GE-powered A333s (from Brussels) and A343s (ex LH airframes).
Zero ex AB/LTU airframes in service for EW on the long-haul sector. LTU/ ABs A332/3s were all PW4000 powered.

Different story with the single-aisle Airbii altogther.

Virgin took 4 elderly ex LTU/AB A332's iirc
The rest were sold to Wamos MAS and I-fly

Condor's Boeing fleet is old but OK
763 x 16
753 (757-300 13 of Condor origin, + 2 ex JMC/TCX, and 1 ex Arkia)

The 753's are short/mid haul package holiday people movers around 275 seats - they do not afaik go transatlantic, unlike TCK 752's previously used.

Thanks. I stand corrected. my info was old anyway. Stiil I do not see LH group having now 2 long haul charters competing with one another on the same routes from the same German airports. one has to get into the other one.
