Why not? All airlines in India are recruiting. Some like Indigo are giving their unpaid salary as bonus.

While one stands up another falls down - Jet Airways is the next kingfisher?

Aviation industry is like weather in tropical zone,, cannot predict at all and PESTEL factors have direct impact on this industry.
Now Jet Airways has cancelled all its int'l flights from 12th April due to lack of aircraft. Its passengers are stranded in multiple airports.

How can some one rely on an airline when they have to attend for important business meetings and other important visits and appointments?

If the Business Meeting is that important, you book with a solid reliable airline.

However the sad loss of any airline is, those airlines with B737 MAXs must think this is manna from heaven!

You may not get the choice; if your company is paying for it, then they may put you on the cheapest ticket available and to hell with the consequences.

I'm lucky in that my company normally seems to use BA for their flights (could be worse, could be better) but a previous company I worked for used to actively seek out the cheapest tickets irrespective of carrier.

Which airline Brother, can you standby and make sure the flight go on schedule? Every Airline is given the approval to provide the service, and they are obliged to provide that service, nothing more and nothing less.

Jet Airways have stopped operating. The presser says it's a temporary measure, time will tell.

Sorry to see 9W fail. Enjoyed my 3 1/2 years there. Made a number of friends, both locals and expats. K. B. Menon, Mgr. of the Expat Cell, was a star. His word was good as gold. Hope they can resurrect.
