Interesting, when Monarch failed, that was supposed to be the profitable part... What happened?

Poorly managed by all accounts. Very sad news for those involved. Hopefully, the other airlines and MRO's will snap them up.

All part of the Mantegazza plan. Load up the various parts of the group with debt, walk away from a £600m pension deficit and take away anything of value back to Lugano or their yacht.

Spot on Tubby. Not a lot else to say apart from condolences to those that chose to cling to the wreckage.

Let us not forget Greybull in that scenario. Asset strippers. Messrs Hodgson and Peacock (the founders of Monarch and Airline Engineering) must be turning in there graves at this sad outcome.

If it was not done with the justification of accountancy, then most of us would describe the actions of Greybull and the Mantegazzas as multiple crimes of theft.

All the best to those left left picking up the pieces.

Ring Jet2, or apply on line or how ever you have to do it in this day and age. Opportunitiess coverings all aspects of the engineerimg operation.

Road show, Birmingham next Wednesday, might be bit busier than they originally expected.

My nephew is one of those who has just lost his job. He had previously moved to Marshalls, but decided to get back to Monarch
to reduce travelling. Probably a bad move. Hopefully he'll get something at Luton.

"Taking over" - more like an AirBnB rental while Virgin or whoever decides who's having FlyBe.......
