Jet2 New Bristol and Cardiff Base?

i just read on a pilot jobs site that Jet2 are set to announce new permanent bases at Bristol and Cardiff and summer only base in Barcelona, in Q1 of 2019.

That's interesting because Jet2 have been saying no new bases in near future.
And why both BRS and CWL?

Given that they recently went on sale with W19/20 with no mention of BRS or CWL in S19 or W19/20, i find this very unlikely. What might be possible is if they're looking for pilots in these areas who would consider moving to BHX where there is massive growth
Even more unlikely is the Summer only in Barcelona. as it's not one of their biggest destinations. I would have epected to see AGP or FAO before anything else.

Do you have a link to this?

It wasn't too long ago that this site reported the purchase of 5 A330. Pinch of salt required I think.

Thats the trouble with Wiki's - they get on your wick-i !!
Pipedreams and mischief on a slow news site perhaps.
Mind you. I had read elsewhere that Jet2 were merging with or "buying" Air Tanker to acquire their A330's. 😱
Wonder if anyone told the RAF? lol.
I'll have whatever he's drinking!

Jet2 have visited CWL very recently, for a friendly visit with the management team... make of that what you wish.

To be fair the comment says "bases to be announced Q1 2019" not bases opening Q1 2019 hence why there's nothing on sale.

As I say, make of it what you wish. As the old saying goes, "no smoke without fire", though. New LS Airbus base at CWL, anyone?
