Watched that flight come in on 27L from the roof of our building next to PanAm hangar, my word it did look slow on approach, difference of scale I guess.
Some weeks later jump-seated coming back from FRA, coming in on 09L saw all the usual sights on approach, past the reservoirs then thinking we had to be going around then bump/rattle while we were still up high. I enjoyed all my 747 trips on business(co-emp) and pleasure. Miss those days.
