I remember when the VC10s were left at Abingdon after the RAF took them over from BA and they were left for a while, the insides were reportedly alive.

Folks,
Reminds me of many years ago, a letter of admonishment from South Leicestershire Regional Health Authority, consequent on returning a B707 from lease to an African airline.
The list of creepies and crawlies discovered on a detailed inspection was most impressive, almost two pages, single space, one bug per line.
The list of possible penalties, in retribution, if I ever was involved in such heinous unapproved and unsanctioned imports, ever again, was also impressively long.
I had it framed, hung on an office wall for years, I must see if I can find it.
Tootle pip!!
PS: The list of defects was also very impressive, wonderful aircraft, the B707.
