Tempo variable at 50 kts.
Sometimes you should simply divert.

Cabin announcement: "Please do not applaud the landing until the aircraft has come to a complete stop".

If it's still moving, no visible smoke or flames and can be steered...

Shouldn't laugh, but the sight of random runway signage flying past the window in tatters did make me chuckle

Purported video of landing. (Plausible that it's real; YouTube poster has about half-dozen postings, all from Astana area):

If that's the landing and the wind is from the right, why do the other videos show a heap of left aileron?

You are probably seeing aileron droop because flaps are out then aineron undroop after touchdown the ailerons will go up with spoilers.

The left aileron is clearly raised, not drooping. What you’re saying is that both ailerons rise with ground spoiler deployment (asymmetrically if there is an input)?

Most crosswind runway excursions are INTO the wind, at slow speed. The weather-vane effect being exaggerated by the reverser's vectors.

might have, but SOP would be to return to idle reverse on both engines and if that doesn’t correct the drift, then into forward idle. Reducing braking to increase tire cornering force would also be in order.

No difference. The stabilizing effect of the tri-cycle is there to help a lot, but the fin is still aft of CG and rudder becomes ineffective.

Add to this being blown downwind a bit during the flare, thus starting on a cross-runway, upwind trajectory to begin with.

Does anyone on this board know anyone who works there? I answered an add and sent my resume. No age limit given and I am retiring from a US Carrier soon. I would like to know pay and T&C's.

Thanks
ZB.

that is true on dry and reasonably wet runways. The opposite will be true if the runway is slippery enough: with little to no lateral friction between the wheels and the runway, the aircraft will drift downwind.
