Idiot reporters, rushing to be the first to break the news, without checking any facts
Not really, they seem to have picked-up on a report from the Canary Emergency Services.
What do they need to do? Charter a flight out there for a visual inspection before passing on? Some are criticizing withheld information, others saying info should be held until 100% confirmed.
On that basis, MH370 is nothing more than just "Missing"

In times like these it would be wise to confirm any news of this type before posting them to the forum as many non-professionals come to this site for information and updates.

Excuse me, but I don't know if anybody have asked this before: What was in the cargo hold of this aircraft that did not crash?

Journalists and 24hr TV news are in such a frenzy to break a story first
It's not as if they're any different to the dozen or so people who have all repeated the same "it's not a plane, it's a ship" revelation in the previous posts...

Probably a sea crane

Also on Twitter: Pic of the thing that probably got confused with an airplane.

Did the plane emit any "pings" before it did not crash?

There is a boat out where it did not crash, so the pilots probably did not land on the sea and steal the two tons of gold that was not on board.
