I wonder why the camera was there. A police car maybe considering the way they avoided the wreckage.

Many private cars in Russia have cameras inside.

It's part of their criminal way of living .......

Don't you guys bother to read the thread before posting

Avionics -that video has been posted before. The last time just one page back!!

gcal - same to you re the question of cameras. See posts 66 & 70 maybe others too.

What a waste of time, space, and bandwidth for those of us who read and are interested to learn, these sorts of posts are useless drivel.

Edited to note that this was being composed while BOAC was posting. BOAC - I will join you in headbanging

Doors To Automatic, well observed it is indeed the 150m marker!

Anybody knows if the spoilers logic requires spoilers armed, WOW AND thrust idle on that type? A320 fleet are currently being modified to allow for deployment even if thrust not at idle in order to avoid bounce problems.

That said, BOAC makes a fair point that lack of spoilers and reverse is probably not enough to explain the speed of the excursion....

Excuse the continued dashboard cam topic-drift, because of these images everybody can see now how deadly this mini-ravine was for those on board the 204. And at the same time how it saved those on the highway, as 99% of the ac hull was contained within the 'ravine' (minor collateral damage by the debris). Don’t think that FDR data could ever re-produce in such a graphic detail the impact that had the last 200 meters of the terrain on the hull. This time this little nasty death-trap might have saved more lives than in took.

About time EMAS became mandatory anywhere where the overrun is hazardous (and that's pretty much everywhere that the overrun is not flat, clear and weight bearing).

It´s been almost every landing in this condition plus BA good, we are skidding towards the Taxi way because of a slippery Runway.
i cannot confirm this in vnukovo and do not think we can blame the airport for this crash.

its of course only a quess and we have to wait for further investigation, but i believe they attempted to take off again after realizing they cannot stop for whatever reason. so the aircraft was acclerating when impacted.

cheers

There is a thing called variation
It's true that a thing called variation determines the runway designation, but the answer to the OP's question about why and how the designation changed (from 02/20 to 01/19) involves the additional fact that, over time, variation varies.

newly posted in-car cam of crash

just viewed the re-posted video of the in the car cam
a few posts back showing the crash in real-time.

what is shown there rather than what i saw in the previous video postings are a few more early frames of video that capture the complete a/c before disintegration which i could not see in the other film

it also better shows the considerable speed of the a/c just before impact

quite helpful i am sure
