It's AMC, an Egyptian Company, not Saudi.

Was wondering the same thing, camera crew at the ready, but noticable absence of blue light adorned vehicles rushing to their aid.

camera crew at the ready,
It looks like an opportunistic weilding of a phone camera to me.

Its difficult to see clearly through the overlay, but I get the impression that the front door is open well before the aircraft stops, and something, possibly a slide, pops out and is swept away. Look at around 6 to 10 sseconds.

Methinks a flash of flame. Another, bigger one follows a few seconds later.

Today's paper says pax were Saudi royals (and their servants no doubt) on their annual bustard shoot.

Maybe this scare will keep them away; they have decimated the bird and it is an endangered species.

But I wouldn't count on it.

The government does nothing so as to keep their relations "friendly" and may be get some free oil in return.

err .. royals don't fly 20 year old MD-83s ..

The contents of the plane was some Saudi Tribal chieftain on his annual hunting expedition .. or so I am told .. with his 'hunting' team ..

(I wonder if it is the type where the main man fires, and the backup also fires at the same target to make sure the main man 'got' the shot .. no kidding .. I did see it once .. .. hidden shooters making sure the main guy got the target .. )
