Angry Lufthansa: We will succeed. We have our own union now.

We earned it. We deserve it.
I am commanding a $140 million plane. With knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm.

My family sees me 10 days out of 30. They put up with it because papa is a captain.

But then: Why can`t I afford a decent 1 family home of upper middle class standard within 1 hour of Frankfurt airport? Why do I have to worry about my retirement? Why do I have to beg my scheduler to give me a certain day off?

Did I say I work for the airline of the year? Lufthansa?

We are going to do it. We will get the pay rise. And more then that. Respect.

You are not the only one suffering, like this there thousands of Captains who are suffering. You are lucky that you have 10 days with the family per month. There are certain pilots who manages to get back home after the kids have gone off to sleep and leave for work before the kids are back home from school.
Later on some day the kids asked the Mother, who is this uncle who comes home and sleeps with you when we are away.
You are cribbing about he life of a captain with the ailine of the year. You don't know the lives of the Captains with the best airline/safest airline of the world(SIA), it is worst. LOWEST POSSIBLE PAY, WORST POSSIBLE OPERATING PATTERN to top it up worst possible man/management relations. So be happy. Happy landings

Sorry for that twitchy.

But this shouldn´t be the standards we should start our battle from, shouldn´t it?

Hope for improvement at SIA.

Cheers from Germany

Endlich habt ihr es gemacht !!!!
Es war höchste Zeit.

I have pretty amazed by yu guys for being sooooooooooo compliant with DLH. Sure 1992 called for dire measures but enough is enough and as you say what airline Captain can afford a family home in uppermiddle class subburb.
I am presently skiing in Austria and let me tell you that the people staying at the Hospiz in St Christoph are not Lufthansa captains.
Good for you guys.
That a lot of guys have to go through worst is less than conforting and should make all of us very very angry.
Alles gute.
