What's going on? This is very strange.

It seems that protestors have messed up proceedings at Stansted, it's all over the news and yet nobody is discussing it here?

There was a thread but the mods have moved it. Maybe they think it's not news???

I'm starting to think the mods are off their rockers.

Denying the protestors the CO2 of publicity?

what a joke

Fantastic isn't it, apart from the fact that this country has become so namby-pamby that it fosters this sort of nonsense protest, largely because the youth of today are so lazy and spoilt and have no actual problems as do their counterparts in more sensible countries, that they can't think of anything better to do that disrupt peoples lives.

BAA Security are so efficient at stealing bottles of water from flight crew but this bunch of ill-informed, under educated peasants managed to get through the perimeter fence and start this fiasco !

Personally I would have loved to see the Airport get the snow ploughs out and send the whole load of them the the fire training area for a good wash over to prepare them for their court appearances, either that or shoot the scum on site. However I suppose this might have been against the 'human rights' of the perpetrators or some such drivle... I'd like to see them try it in Russia.

There must be a way to disrupt these protesters' lives with as much misery as they've caused to others.

Some direct action needed, I think.

I was watching the news this morning and one of the protesters was justifying themselves by telling the reporter that they had only caused disruption to passengers that were traveling by air that could of gone by rail or coach. She also thought that many of the were people were going to their second homes, at this point she gave a look that suggested they deserved to be persecuted for their disgraceful behaviour in actually having a second home. She also commented on those that used flying to get to and from work, as if they should have donned their swimming shorts and swam the channel if they had need of going to work in Amsterdam.

I do hope these protesters never use a road or by-pass, travel by air to go on holiday, use electricity from a power station as I am sure they would not want to be labelled as hypocrites.

What is the title of this website? I'll give you a hint... it's NOT "The airport and airline enthusiasts forum". Hang on... I'll give you another clue... it's NOT the "Let's get all uppity and discuss ad-nauseum YOUR views and feelings about how the country should be run, especially when it involves the word 'air' somewhere in the topic forum"

Hopefully, you will have the answer by now. Just in case it's too hard... it's a Professional Pilots forum. What that means is that all those enthusiasts and spotters who think that just because a story has a hint of airport or aircraft in it it should be posted on this forum, should get a life and figure out the difference between what is important to us and being an airline or aviation junkie who eats, sleeps and breathes aviation. There is a much shorter version called an "Anorak".

Now, if you really want to follow the news about a bunch of protesters who managed to trespass onto a runway at a regional airport and follow any disruption to airline schedules then try looking in the appropriate forum where you can get all moist and glowy and let everyone else have the benefit of your view on things aviation related.

Here is a link to assist you: http://www.pprune.org/jet-blast/3539...hlight=protest
