Red face KLMuk to merge?

I've been hearing rumours that KLMuk and KLMcityhopper will be merged into one entity in the near future. Also KLMuk seem to be keen to sell off/wind up it's UK based engineering assets ie Norwich and it's regional outstations. Has anyone else heard these rumours?

Unhappy

I dare say that any airline would be up for sale if the owners were tempted by a bucketload of cash.
KLM Engineeering is a an asset I can't see them getting rid of. Not only does the Norwich base maintain KLM aircraft, it does a lot of work for other companies as well. Having just signed major 1 - 5 year engineering contracts with Brittany Air, TNT and Irish City Jet, as well as having many other worldwide customers, I think that those companies would take a very dim view of KLM offloading an engineering outfit whose reputation is second to none.

It wasn't me.

I also heard these rumours and the first sign is already there.... KLM cityhopper is taking over some of the F100's for the new European (ex-Eurowings) routes. Cityhopper wants to increase operations with 30% in the next three years. A merger of the two KLM companies is only a matter of time....

Question

It would be almost impossible to sell Norwich without being able to show a full list of work, both internal and third party and to have plenty of work on the books makes Norwich all the more attractive to a potential buyer. To merge the airlines means being able to reduce the admin tail and management costs considerably
