ICAO Multi Crew Pilot Rating? what's the status of this program?

In light of the AB discussion, the lack of AB stick movement for aileron inputs, thus the resultant lack of tactile feel/visual clues to the PNF as to what the PF is inputting during 'decrabbing' during heavy crosswind landings.....how is the ICAO Multi Pilot Crew Pilot Rating doing in it's development and/or implementation? From what I remember, it's taking bodies "from scratch" (zero time), and giving them lots of simulator time...and getting them a "qualification" to fly right seat in NB transport aircraft-with only VERY minimal time in aircraft.

A direct attempt to increase pilot supplies, during the current/upcoming worldwide pilot shortage.

Will the pilots/Captains throughout the world accept this program?
