Although Virgin have whistle-blower immunity in the UK, that doesn't extend to the US Department of Justice (where BA don't have immunity either).
Rumour has it that the DoJ are very interested in four BA people AND two Virgin people in connection with the passenger fuel surcharge price-fixing.
For Virgin to dob the BA people into the UK OFT could prove to be a very costly own-goal if their own people start getting caught up in this. Rumour has it that one of the BA people is already in the UAE. Er, I wonder if those concerned at Virgin might make a boult for it before that happens?

This is marvellous news. Perhaps BA Directors/management will now realise that they can't just soak the company for what they can and walk away unscathed. Perhaps those free First class tkts will compensate? It is a shame that it is the USA that has to show the UK how to prosecute the new "robber -barons" of the FTSE 100 .
