Aw, shoot...

The Miami Herald reports that "All passengers and crew members left the plane safely by sliding down shoots...". I know firearms are popular there, but never would have guessed...

Seriously, good job all are OK. One runway apparently still shut down.

Watching the CBS4 news feed, they are saying the masks dropped down on landing - I am not going to speculate why....

Pax from the flight saying it was handled well by the crew/airline though, which is always nice to hear - good work guys

with white foam that surrounded the airplane as seen by CHOPPER 4 which flew over the scene immediately after the incident
I know the runway was no longer "active", but can the US Press Choppers fly unrestricted within camera height over active commercial airports?

I don't know the rules, but I do know camera optics and stability platforms. The chopper might have been a lot further away than it seemed.

Pure speculation on my part, but from some of the pax comments it may have been a hard landing.
