Thumbs up AF CC given standing ovation at AA2006

Have you read about the Excellence Awards from FI (now Flight Global) at Asian Airspace 2006 ?

One of the best stories of the year had to be what must be called a 'heroic effort' brilliantly put forth by the cabin crew of AF358.

A nice moment this must have been:

M. Fautrel's most deserving moment

The entire excellence awards page:

http://www.flightglobal.com/StaticPa...ionawards.html

Nice to read about some positive people news in the industry

Despite all the training in the world it's not until it's for real that you will know if you're made of the right stuff. This AF crew were and they deserve the praise and recognition. As an aviation professional and a frequent SLF, I salute them.

Cabin Crew: In the front lines for your Safety

Mr Fautrel and his crew indeed made the Cabin Attendants of the world proud of their profession.

May I suggest a Pprune standing ovation too - shall I lead the way?

More importantly, use it to resist attemps to reduce cabin/crew pax ratios.

I can very well remember last August - at first it was difficult to imagine the "inevitable" (images seen on TV) and then when they announced (late at night) that everyone got out, that was the best news ... since a long time. Thank you!
