Serb F100 off rwy @Podgorica

just off the ticker...
(Tiroler Tageszeitung)

a Montenegro F100 ran off the runway on landing at Podgorica tuesday evening, about 100 passengers remained unhurt, but aircraft condition seems to be critical. F100 ran over soft ground for 700m before coming to rest.

thats all for the moment...
what a bloody series of mishaps these days, whoīs gonna be next ?

best, readywhen

Some reports claim that both pilots were slightly injured in the incident.

from my point of view damage is likely to be less severe than previously reported.

700m sounds like a hell of a long way to go off a runway! I would expect it to stop in far less than that even without pilot intervention. Maybe it was 70m?????

Looks like the evac drill were done correctly. (reversers stowed).

Sources say he actually missed the runway ( itīs the second time Cpt Popovic has done this) the weather was really bad...they didnīt agree on how to clean the runway etc...the evac was ...well...no ambulance, no firetrucks..nothing...the passengers actually walked 2 km back to the airport ...
