Catch 22

Hi everyone,

I need some help. I have a dutch CPL with the ATPL theory and I´m starting with my instrument rating. I have about 150 hrs PIC and a total of 180 hrs. Aircraft ratings are R22 and R44.

I´m starting to get to the point to find a job. In Holland there aren´t much operators so I´m also looking abroad.

To get a job, companies tend to ask a lot of hours (500+), and to get a lot of hours you need a job. Hence the topic subject.

Does anyone know, if there are companies who hire low time pilots, and while the experience of this pilot progresses, he´ll get bigger/more sophisticated helicopters to fly.

For example: You start in a R22 doing pipelines surveys and end up in a twin turbine chopper doing EMS.

I´m willing to go abroad, so are there any suggestions?

Thanks DJG

Try contacting Schreiner Northsea Helicopters. They might be in need of pilots. www.schreiner.nl
