Guam, Phillipines, Samoa?
Dare I say it, this is probably one of the most frequent queries on this site, help needed to build hours.
I have heard of the opportunities for building big hours in the role of tuna spotting but am unsure of the procedure one has to follow to get this type of work. Does one simply turn up at the island and request work (or is there a number one can call), what sort of licensing is necessary and how many hours are minimum? There must be an ex-tuna spotter out there. Regards Bluegold |
I flew out of Guam. Lot's of stories to tell. Email me direct. I think you can do this somehow on this site without me giving out my address on the net.

Not to be negative
Last year my Chief Pilot in Africa told me he had been tuna spotting in Guam, when I asked him about how was that like he simply and flatly said "it was the worst time of my life, would never do that again" I guess it different for everyone, but just find out the conditions before you go.
Good Luck |
