QGAir Woes

First a HOFO, then a HOTAC and now a Chief Aircrew Officer required, all in the same couple of weeks.

Begs the question what the helll is going wrong in the QGAir rotary world?

I hear ONE of the problems is the pay.

Have they left, retired been moved on? Are you aware? Maybe there has been a retirement? Maybe the HOTAC is now the HOFO? Maybe CAO is on leave, ill or such? So many possibilities with minimal subterfuge or dramas. However it is PPrune, maybe they were abducted by aliens?

Both the HOTAC, HOFO jobs have been advertised in the last week. (In the wrong order for the HOTAC to have moved “up”)
Seeing the jobs advertised for the last few years - looks like a high turn over for a position that could be long term.

I heard that lifeFlight had a meeting with Minister Purdy about taking over QGAir

Sounds about right. There won’t be a tender, just hand them the keys. They’ve never had to contest a contract through a fair and equitable tender process.
Contracts fully funded but still need donations to ‘keep the service flying’….get ready to pay twice Queenslanders!

Where I worked (not aviation), a sound case had to be made for any sole source contracts. If there is a hint that might happen here, then a few letters to relevant Queensland minsters from other operators expressing an interest in bidding should send them a clear message of the need for accountability.
