429 SN

Just seen a SN for the 429 regards the cyclic stop which seemed surprising.

An investigation has determined that high amplitude, rapid fore-and-aft cyclic inputs in hover increases the risk of rotor-to-airframe contact
I think that comes under the category of "no s**t Sherlock"!

This will be the third Bell 429 over-control accident in last 10 years (the one in NY on the pad, then the vortex ring ring training one). I don't line the way Bell has setup the trim and stabilisation system - defaulting every start to SCAS then requiring hands off to change up to attitude hold is daft. I also don't see the need to deselect the trim. The EC135 or Helionix setup is much better - attitude hold from the off with manual switch to SAS. And now a TAC mode for follow up trim throughout the envelope. Bell need to catch up
